 I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit.
 Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope;

The rainbow the covenant symbol God gave to Noah to ensure He will never again destroy the earth by flooding! He tilted the earth which ensures the impossibility of filling the water in the earth again!

2-Current Earth

For this is like the days of Noah to Me, when I swore that the waters of Noah Would not flood the earth again; So I have sworn that I will not be angry with you Nor will I rebuke you.”For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, But My loving kindness will not be removed from you, And My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” Says the LORD who has compassion on you.…[Isaiah 54;9]

The same rainbow which was the mark of the covenant in the Noahic covenant, God recalled it in Isaiah chapter 54 to re confirm with an oath that His loving kindness towards us will never be removed and His Covenant of peace will never be shaken. He swore it with an oath! A double iron cladded guarantee for you to know. All based on the finished work of Jesus Christ which was accomplished on the previous chapter which is Isaiah 53 – the suffering servant of God! Who made available the eternal covenant on behalf of human race on his eternal holy blood.

God is always seeing the rainbow which is surrounding Him over his throne of grace! This same rainbow apostle John saw in the revelation as an encircling around the throne of the Most High God, recalling it as a remembrance to the eternal and everlasting gracious Covenant, the almighty God has with all of us in Christ Jesus.

“I saw another strong angel coming down out of heaven, clothed with a cloud; and the rainbow was upon his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire; [Rev 10:1]
