WE ARE WHO GOD SAYS WE ARE!

According to Scripture, God defines our identity by who we are in Christ Jesus. He does not define us by our past, by other people’s opinions, by our works, or by our religious performance. In heaven’s system, the decisive question is: Who do you believe in? In whom have you been found? Are you found in the first Adam, or in Christ Jesus?

If we are not in Christ, God identifies us as sinners — offspring of the first Adam, born under condemnation (Romans 5:12, 19). But if we have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and as the atonement for our sins, God sees us as righteous in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). Our standing is no longer based on what we have done, but on what He has done.

If we are in Christ, we are a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are no longer defined by failure or shame, but by His righteousness, acceptance, and sonship.

This is the biblical distinction: Scripture draws a line between two heads of humanity — Adam and Christ. Our identity flows from which one we are found in.

*Key biblical anchors:
– In Adam*: All sinned, all died, all were condemned. That is our inherited identity by birth.
– In Christ*: All who believe are justified, made righteous, and made alive. That is our new identity by rebirth.

This is a complete identity shift — not behavior modification, but a birthright transformation. The enemy tries to pull us back to defining ourselves by past mistakes or performance. But God’s verdict is fixed on Christ’s finished work.

Being “in Christ” changes how we face accusation and insecurity because our position is settled in Him. Accusation cannot redefine us when God has already declared us righteous. Insecurity cannot hold us when our acceptance is anchored in His love. The unconditional love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Through Him we respond from security instead of stress. We rest in His strength and trust in His faithfulness.

And so we continually believe and confess: _We are who God says we are, and God is what God says He is!
