The Righteousness by faith comes by revelation from Holy Spirit is the contents of the book of Romans.
Righteousness by Faith in Christ Jesus is the very Essence of this whole book!
It was my great desire to do the mandate given by God to write about the Book of Romans .The glorious and pure Gospel one must know and live by. It was a book which God had given me the revelation through the dream and by which I am here with the blog to reach to all of you. Dear friend, I encourage you to go through the entire chapters explained here in order for you to know the complete truth about the Gospel and the great work our Lord Jesus Christ has accomplished for you and me! You have to taste and see that the God is really good and He tastes like honey in the rock! Let the Holy Spirit lead you through each and every bits of this Glorious Gospel unveiled in the Book of Romans – The light and path to all the other books in the Bible! The very book which perfected my entire believing system of Christianity into a perfect direction as it does for many! The imputed righteousness from Jesus Christ as a free gift from God! The righteousness you cannot sin away! In myself, I knew I am not righteous, but God made me perfectly righteous in His account. How did God do this? He put me in Christ. The everlasting righteousness my savior gave to me as a free gift in the new covenant which enables me to reign in life!! The Book of Romans is a masterfully written exposition on God’s grace and the righteousness that comes by grace through faith. Yes! The just shall live by faith!(Rom 1-1:17).
As we all know, of all the dealings God has with the human race, he deal with 3 category of people under the sun!– Gentiles, Jews and Church. The reason for writing the book of Romans was to share the gospel and teach that our righteousness comes by faith in Jesus Christ only, apart from what we can do to earn it. In the first chapter of the Book of Romans Paul explained the all sufficiency of the Gospel and its power to save and justify the all category of people through the message of Gospel! To the Gentiles – who don’t acknowledge the very presences of God but pursue their own wicked life style and are the objects of God’s wrath! For the Jews who boast in their own righteousness gained through Law keeping and don’t realize the need of a Savior in their life! It also speaks about all the believers in Christ as their current position and the nature of their new life in Spirit. The Gospel – Salvation – Jesus Christ – is equally required for all the people in the planet earth!
“Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the Church of God: (1 Cor 10:32)
I am sure the chapter wise study from the book of romans will establish you in the Power of Gospel and its true essence!
Romans Chapter 1 – 1:17
•Paul- The Bond servant of Jesus Christ Set apart as Apostle for the Gospel of Grace
1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God
2 the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures
3 regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David,
4 and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.
5 Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake.
6 And you also are among those Gentiles who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.
7 To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
•Paul’s Longing to Visit Rome
8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.
9 God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you
10 in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God’s will the way may be opened for me to come to you.
11 I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong—
12 that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.
13 I do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, that I planned many times to come to you (but have been prevented from doing so until now) in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles.
14 I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish.
15 That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome.
•Not ashamed of the Gospel! The Power of God!
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed–a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
Here the writer of the book of Romans – Apostle Paul starts the chapter 1 with introduction about himself as the servant, apostle and a chosen person of Jesus Christ on his role in the Gospel ministry which God has promised beforehand through His prophets in the Holy Scripture. He is writing this letter before he even visited the Rome and writing to all the saints in Christ Jesus at Rome. Proceeding with his introduction about himself and the outlines on the base of this revelation, he has mentioned the mystery of Gospel as the “POWER OF GOD FOR SALAVTION FOR ALL WHO BELIEVE” and the very essence of Christian life which is “RIGHTEOUSNES BY FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS” .This become the key essential points of the book of Romans as well as for the entire Bible!
Paul continued with a confession from the great revelation from God that the Gospel is the very power of God for salvation to all who believe in it! The preaching of Gospel is the very delivery system God uses to save ALL! As the book of romans is the last epistle Paul wrote in the New Testament, we can ensure that Paul had definitely seen and experienced the demonstration of the very dynamite power of this gospel in saving people from the clutches of sins to the liberty in Christ. From the revelation knowledge and the practical experience Paul’s concluded in 1st chapter itself that “I am not ashamed of the preaching of this Gospel, because it is the Power of God ! And in it , Righteousness of God is revealed!
The righteousness of God is a revelation we receive in our spirit as the Spirit of God reveals it to us via gospel of Christ! Gospel is an amazing grace from God for Everyone – Who Believe in It – for the Salvation – To the Jew first (People who rejected their Messiah and crucified Him…the covenant keeping God once again showed His grace on preaching the Good news to Jews first)then to the gentiles! Now the gospel is for all the people under planet earth without any distinction. The righteousness which is received as a gift by accepting the Gospel – Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior makes the end of your entire struggle in the flesh and make you a new creation in Christ!
Romans chapter 1: 18-32 [HEATHEN man is lost and without excuse before God]
From verse 18 onwards the writer is building a case against the entire world on their current position in Gods eyes (Guilty before God) and the depravity of sinfulness of mankind believing the lie. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness .Even though the book of Romans is the Gospel or the good news which everyone should know and believe it, it starts with the bad news about Gods wrath on mankind on ignoring Him! The diagnosis about the current state of your Soul and Spirit in its deceased condition and the very mandatory requirement for its cure will be realized and addressed only when it’s told about by the original creator of the same! The very same is portrayed here in Gods own words! Before presenting the good news he presented the bad news so that we will understand how desperately we need God’s gospel and to be saved! People don’t go to the Savior unless they see themselves as needy sinners!
•The very existence of God is plain to all!-They knew God!
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
•Exchanged Glory with creation instead of Creator!
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. 24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
•God gave them up!
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice!!!
You see, the Scripture is very plain to explain that all of us know in our conscious that we are sinners and what the sin is! Our heart is tuned to know what guilt is and has an instinctive knowledge of Gods wrath against the sins! Yes we all know deep down in our heart what is right and wrong? Our own conscious bears witness and making us feel guilty and condemned. However we continue to suppress this truth and continue in the wickedness. All exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and served created things! By seeing the creations in the world, the sky, sea, creatures etc etc we all know that there is a creator! The all-knowing God! The invisible qualities his eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse to say “There is no creator” Do you agree with that? Unfortunately nobody glorify God or give thanks to Him for who He is! Instead all our thinking became futile and hearts become darkened and wicked in Gods eyes! Because of this reason, god gave up all over to shameful lusts. Look at all the filthiness of the world and people perishing in it! Even after all these wickedness they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done !
Even though the Verdict [You Are Guilty] & The Sentence [You Deserve Death ] is against you! Be happy! Because instead of placing wrath and godlessness on us God placed it all on Jesus for you! Surely God is righteous and Holy! He cannot leave the sins unpunished! But God is also LOVE and He doesn’t want to punish us! So the loving God made a way out for us to escape! Jesus Christ – The God in Human flesh! Jesus Christ came down and took away your punishment on His Body and freed you! God love you so much so that He gave up His only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.[John 3:16].
I want you all to know that the wrath of God against the godlessness of man was satisfied in Christ Jesus.
Your savior Jesus Christ brought for you an everlasting righteousness! A legal right for our right standing before God! Hei Hei –You got the Good News!! Continue in Gospel!
